Shri. Salil Deshmukh is popularly known as “Dada”. He is President of National Congress Party (NCP - Youth Wing). He is President of Koshish Foundation which is a charity organization. He is Secretary of Shri. Sai Shikshan Sanstha (SSSS) which delivers quality education programs in Engineering and Management.
Dada started his political career at a tender age of 17 years. While other adolescents were busy attending junior college, playing games and participating in extra curricular activities. Dada was busy working passionately for the upliftment of children, youth and women in Vidarbha.
Dada is a great visionary. He has contributed significantly for the development of Vidarbha. He has prepared a road map to deal with various socio economic problems of the region.
Dada is a messiah for farmers. He has introduced various automated techniques in the farming industry. He has organized water supply to the farms in rural and remote areas through district authorities.
Dada attends to people endlessly from morning till late evening. People from all walks of life approach Dada for help – access to education, medical, basic amenities i.e. drinking water, sanitation problems, access to ration card etc. After giving a patient hearing Dada resolves the problem by discussing it with concerned authorities.
Dada is married to Ridheeji, who comes from a renowned business family. Ridheeji is an entrepreneur and helps Dada in managing the educational institutions and businesses.
Dada is son of Shri. Anil Deshmukh. Deshmukh Sahib was elected as President of Zilla Parishad in 1991. He was Minister from 1994 to 2008 and held important portfolios – Education, Youth Welfare, Sports and MSRDC. He took a break in 2008 to consolidate party position in the region.
